Child and Family Therapy

I believe that play is the language of children. Sometimes children are unable to express themselves verbally. Play therapy enables a child to address concerns and a developmentally appropriate manner. As adults, it is sometimes necessary to tap into the subconscious in a nonverbal manner, in order to bypass the intellect and address the core issues. To guide the process for all ages, I blend nontraditional techniques of sand, art, and play therapies long with the classic approaches of psychodynamic and a developmental theories. The result is an integrative style designed to meet the specific mental health needs of my clients.

The Association for Play Therapy has provided the following entertaining videos explaining more about play therapy.
